As the COVID 19 pandemic is on the decline, we are now experiencing a rise in the focus on the deadliest virus which has plague this country and many parts of the world, for hundreds of years. Too many people’s hearts have been infected which hate, prejudice and racism. During this time of quarantine, it seems as if some have used this great opportunity to incubate their pathology. Now many are immerging stronger and more vigilant in their determination to devolve—rather than evolve into more loving, compassionate and human members of society.
This deviance in the thinking, feeling and behavior needs to be seen and addressed for what it is. It is a sickness of the mind and spirit. Right now, humankind has an opportunity to face what it is and address it. Stripping away the disguise of racism, sexism, genderism and all of the other isms and scisms people have used as smoke screens, we can clearly see an on-going sociopathic behavior which has been prevalent throughout history—not only in this country—in the so called civilized world.
There is a tremendous amount of healing which needs to occur within the human species. Firstly, the idea that one is better or more inferior than the other. It is time for each individual to look within and address their own personal feelings of insecurity. Those who behave and speak as though they believe they are superior to others, are the most insecure. One who is strong and confident in self, has no need or desire to abuse, suppress or belittle anyone else. Self-loving, confident individuals are the ones who earnestly do what they can to make things better for all, in whichever way they are able.
What is the salve, the tonic or elixir which will bring this healing? There is no magic pill, vaccination or surgery. There are people who are not going to make it because they are too far gone. They will grow old and die in their current condition. This is the cold hard truth and you know it. Then there are those who need therapeutic and rehabilitative intervention. Like any other form of rehabilitation, they have to recognize there is something out of order inside of themselves. They must want, be willing and ready to make a change. There is hope and a chance for them. Then there are the young and impressionable, who—if taught correctly and differently at an early age—have the greatest chance at making a healing change in the world’s society.
Many people believe there is some genetic mutation responsible for the maleficence which is common among certain groups of people. They believe there is no help or hope for them. I’m no scientist, however, if that were true then I would think all people of a particular group would all be the same. Since there are variations within all groups, my deductive reason leads me to believe this is not the case.
In the midst of the various forms of dis-ease, which is prevalent at this time and have been for as long as some of us can remember, this is an opportunity to strengthen one’s immune system. What are you going to let into your being? Some people are choosing to breakout of the bubble they have lived in for too long; and some things are truly getting under their skin. You can decide how infectious you will be and the affect you will have on others. What a powerful opportunity to transform hurt into healing.
